I'm having the same problem many forum members are having. This #@!&*%%$ printer keeps sucking up ink with NO apparent end in site. I have reset my printing preferences so that it will "use black ink only" and STILL the color levels are disappearing. I'm not a techie, just a very discouraged person who needs to use a printer on a regular basis. The levels get low and the stupid thing shuts down. No more printing. Frustration is rapidly rising. I just replaced the black ink and see the colors - which I NEVER need to use and wish I could remove - are getting low and soon, this junk will shut down again even for using the black ink alone. Can anyone at all please help me? Can I trick this printer into thinking the color levels are full or somewhat full? Or is there some way to get it through the thick skull of a Lexmark printer to NOT use color no matter what - and it really won't? Maybe I'm blind but I've looked around the forum and can't quite find a solution for my problem. Any suggestions please?
